Telligent Systems Raises $20M

Dallas-based Telligent Systems, a developer of social networking software, has raised $20M in a funding round from Intel Capital, Intel announced Tuesday. According to Intel, Telligent will use the funding to expand its sales team and territories, as well as increase marketing, advertising, and product development. Telligent develops social networking software focused on the enterprise market; its customers include the Intel itself, the Associated Press, Conde Nast, Dell, Electronic Arts, GlaxoSmithKline, and others.
