Telligent Hires IT Vet

Dallas-based Telligent, a provider of software for creating online communities, said Monday that it has named Lawrence Liu as Director of Platform Strategy at the firm. Liu joins the firm from Microsoft, where he was Worldwide Community Lead and Senior technology Manager for Social computing and Accessibility in its SharePoint Group. Telligent is backed by $20M in funding from Intel Capital. Telligent develops software used for creating white label social networking and community web sites.
