Big in Japan Upgrades ShopSavvy
Dallas-based Big In Japan, the mobile applications firm run by Alexander Muse, said this week that the firm has released an upgrade to the firm's personal shopping application, ShopSavvy. According to the firm, the new softwware adds 1,000 new retailers and 750,000 new products. The app--which runs on Google Android--allows users to scan barcodes using their mobile phone camera, and pull up price comparisons and availability of products elsewhere. The firm said the app now has access to over 20 million products from more than 22,000 retailers. The firm first built the application for Google's Android Challenge.
