LifeSize Hits The PC
Austin-based LifeSize, a developer of high definition, video conferencing systems, reported Monday that the firm has created a new product targeted at PCs. According to the firm, its new product--LifeSize Desktop--delivers HD video using off-the-shelf web cams, to its HD video communications services. The firm said the new software offering will deliver 720p, 30 frame per second, 16:9 video to other LifeSize systems. The company is targeting remote workers with the new offerings, which the company said will stat at $199. The software is slated to ship in Q3.
