BearingPoint Sells Commercial Services Business

Management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint announced Tuesday that it has sold its North America Commercial Services business--based in Dallas-- to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. According to Dallas-based BearingPoint, PricewaterhouseCoopers acquired "substantially all" of the division for some $44 million. BearingPoint noted that the purchase also includes the sale of its global delivery centers in Shanghai, China, and Bangalore, India, adding that those transactions won't be final for several months. BearingPoint was previously KPMG Consulting, the consulting division of KPMG LLP. The firm filed for bankruptcy protection in February.
