Dell Sells Tennessee Operations
Round Rock-based Dell reported Thursday afternoon that the firm has sold its North American remanufacturing operations, which is based in Lebanon, Tenn., to third party logistics provider GENCO Supply Chain Solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dell said the sale includes its 298,000 square-foot facility in the city, plus employees, who the firm said will continue employment at the facility. Dell said the sale would simplify its global operations, efficiency, and costs. The computer manufacturer said it will continue to use the operations for the next three years for remanufacturing of its returned desktop and notebook computers, servers, and storage systems.
