TI Links With E-Paper Developer
Dallas-based Texas Instruments said Thursday that it is in a collaboration with E Ink Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Prime View International, around developing electronic paper displays. E Ink, which is developing flexible, thin "electronic paper" display technology for the e-book market, will use TI's technologies, including its power management ICs and OMAP 3 processors, as part of their products. TI said the components being used by E Ink includes its TPS65180 integrated power management IC and OMAP3621 processor. Financial impact of the design win was not disclosed.
