Javelin Semiconductor Gets $6.2M
Austin-based Javelin Semiconductor has raised another $6.2M in an equity funding, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today. No details on the funding have yet been announced by the company. Javelin, which is developing CMOS RF ICs, has previously raised funding from Sevin Rosen Funds and Silverton partners. Javelin develops a 3G power amplifier (PA) based on standard CMOS processes, targeted at use in 3G mobile phones and data cards. The firm claims its PA minimizes power consumption across output power levels, resulting in the lowest battery current required in real-world 3G conditions. The firm had announced a Series A worth $6.3M in May of 2008. More information »
