Silicon Laboratories Drops Revenue Estimates
Austin-based Silicon Laboratories, a publicly held maker of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits, said this morning that it has dropped its forecast for revenues in the third quarter. The firm said it now expects revenues of between $118 and $122M, rather than an earlier estimate of between $136 to $141M. The firm said the downward revision is to due to software than usual July and August bookings. The firm indicated that "the near-term environment is deteriorating" for the firm, particularly in the customer premises equipment and consumer end markets.
