Sabre Buys f:wz

Southlake, Texas-based travel technology firm Sabre Holdings said today that it has acquired f:wz, a European provider of flight planning software. According to Sabre, the acquisition will enhance its AirCentre Enterprise Operations suite of flight planning products and services. Financial terms of the acquisition wre not announced. f:wz was a subsidiary of Dubai Aerospace Enterprises, and was based in Vienna, Austria. The firm's flight planning, navigation database management aircraft performance, and NOTAM management tools are used by airlines in their flight planning operations.
