Slacker In Deal With AOL
Slacker, the personalized Internet radio station service which is backed by Austin Ventures and Sevin Rosen Funds, has scored a major win with AOL today, as AOL announced it is relaunching its AOL Radio service in a partnership with the firm. Slacker--which started in Austin, but no longer has a presence in Texas--will power both a free and premium versions of AOL's Internet radio service. Another popular personalized Internet radio station--Pandora--went public earlier this month.
