Dell Buys Force10

Round Rock-based Dell said this morning that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Force10 Networks, a developer of datacenter networking products. According to Dell, Force10 has nearly $200M in revenues based on its trailing 12 months results. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dell said the buy would boost its datacenter solutions portfolio. Force10 was backed by Advanced Equities, Crosslink Capital, Morgenthaler Ventures, New England Partners Capital, New Enterprise Associates,, US Venture Partners, and Worldview Technology Partners.
