Rackspace Sets New Marketing Head

San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting has hired on a new Chief Marketing Officer, snagging an executive from VMware. According to Rackspace, it has named Rick Jackson to the position of CMO, to head up the company's global marketing strategy and execution. Jackson was previously Chief Marketing Officer at VMware, and also had served in similar roles at Borland Software and BEA Systems. Rackspace said Jackson had been CMO at VMware since 2009.
