uShip Inks Deal With eBay For Large Item Shipping

Need to ship something big from your eBay auction? Austin-based uShip has inked a big deal with eBay, to help sellers on the auction site ship big items. uShip said its delivery options will be offered up to sellers through a new agreement with eBay, for such items as cars, motorcycles, boats, and more. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. uShip said it has already been providing its services to "Larger-Than-Parcel" (LTP) goods, which typically weigh over 150 lbs. The deal will initially be part of eBay Motors, but uShip said more categories will be added this spring, with plans to be integrated into eBay's global properties within a year. uShip is venture backed by Benchmark Capital, DAG Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers.
