uShip Expands To Oversized Items

Austin-based e-commerce logistics provider uShip says it is expanding its service to handle large, oversized, heavy goods, to help online sellers better compete with such giants as Amazon, Walmart, and big-box online stores. According to uShip, it will provide "white glove service" to online e-commerce merchants who sell those large goods, which are particularly difficult to ship. The company--led by CEO Mike Williams--also says it has doubled its shipment volumes of the past three years. uShip says it has been piloting that oversized and heavy item delivery with online auction site Everything But The House (EBTH), which sells a lot of furniture and other bulky items.
