uShip Gets $25M More From Logistics Partner
Austtin-based online shipping marketplace uShip announced Wednesday morning that it has raised $25M more, in a Series D funding round. The funding was led by logistics company DB Schenker. The company says it has now raised $50M in total, from such investors as Benchmark Capital, DAG Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers. uShip and DB Schenker have an existing relationship, where uShip is powering an online trucking platform called "Drive4Schenker". The company said the funds go towards accelerating development of its logistics software platform. Mike Williams is CEO of uShip.
