Lyft Expands Into San Antonio

Ridesharing app Lyft, one of a crop of mobile phone-driven services providing rides on demand from a marketplace of independent drivers, has expanded its efforts in Texas, saying it has debuted in San Antonio. The service--which supports its services via either an iPhone or Android smartphone--also has been operating in Dallas. Lyft's services are similar to Uber and Sidecar, letting users request rides in a city, which are provided by a fleet of part time, independent drivers.
