Servergy, UTSA Launch New Open Computing Lab

Dallas-based server maker Servergy and the University of Texas, San Antonio said this morning that they have launched a new, Open Compute Lab, which will focus on accelerated development of OpenPOWER computing technology. They said that they will be building high performance computing (HPC), supercomputing, and other "hyper-scale" projects based on IBM's Power processors at the lab. Financial details of the new effort were not announced.
