NI Buys BEEcube

Austin-based National Instruments, the maker of scientific instruments which is now going by the name NI, said this morning that it has acquired Silicon Valley company BEEcube>, a developer of FPGA prototyping and development products for the wireless research, wireless infrastructure and military/defense areas. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. NI said it will use the acquisition as part of bolstering its tools for next generation, 5G wireless technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) market.
