Dell Launches New Enterprise Business Unit Aimed At The Data Center

Round Rock-based Dell said this morning that it has launched a brand new business line, targeted at the datacenter market. According to Dell, its new Dell Datacenter Scalable Solutions (DSS) unit specifically will aim at the datacenter market, serving service providers, telecommunications providers, and web tech customers. Dell said the unit will be able to handle the unique requirements of those customers, including installation of non-traditional operating systems, very rapid deployment of servers, testing services, and special hardware requirements.
