Yan Engines Raises $700K For Fuel Efficient Engines

Austin-based Yan Engines, a company developing fuel efficient engines, said this morning that it has raised $700,000 in new funding. Source of the funding was not announced. Yan Engines is a graduate of the University of Texas' Austin Technology Incubator (ATI). According to the company, along with the funding, it has launched a new, UK subsidiary, which will focus on smaller automotive engines; the company has been working on larger, diesel engine retrofits for the US military. Yan Engines says its technology makes standard, commercial engines more fuel efficient, by increasing low-end torque. Yan Engines was founded by Dr. MJ Yan. More information »
