Skybox Datacenter Starts Work On 150,000 SF Plano Data Center
Dallas-based Skybox Datacenters, which is backed by Rugen Street Capital and Bandera Ventures, said today that it has broken ground on a new, wholesale data center in Plano. The first phase of the data center is a 150,000 square foot, 25 megawatt data center, which the company said will open in October of this year. According to Skybox Datacenters, it has a 21 acre campus with capacity of up to 350,000 square feet and 60 megawatts of power. The demand for large data centers in North Texas is growing faster than the market can supply, according to Curt Holcomb, Executive Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle's Data Center Solutions practice, as a part of the statement announcing the new data center.
