Dell Backs Girls Computer Science Efforts At Girls Who Code
Round Rock-based Dell says it is supporting the after-school, computer science education programs run by Girls Who Code. According to Dell, it is contributing $400,000 in cash, plus will also appoint five women technology leaders as program ambassadors to organize and deliver mentorship services as part of the program. In addition, Dell said it will provide materials and supplies for the STEM curriculum in the program. Girls Who Code is a national non-profit which has been running programs across the country to not only teach girls how to write software, but also has been linking those girls with internships at companies such as Dell and many others.
