OpenKey Wins Hotel in San Francisco

Dallas-based OpenKey has signed on another hotel to use its mobile key technology, this time in San Francisco' Tenderloin district. OpenKey said that The Tilden Hotel, a Point Hospitality Group property, is using its technology to allow for its guests to check in directly with their smartphone and to also access their rooms. The two said the adoption of OpenKey helps both in providing the convenience of keyless entry, and reduces the waste of non-biodegradable plastic keycards--which also gives the hotel cost savings from less purchases of those keycards.
