Flight School Powers Augmented Reality Concert Poster

Is augmented reality (AR) the next big trend in concert posters? Dallas-based creative studio Flight School says it is behind a new, augmented reality concert poster for the rock band Umphrey's McGee's, which brought "vibrant colors and kaleidoscopic artwork" to the band's concert posters for a show at Red Rocks, Colorado earlier this month. Flight School said its AR work on the poster was created using the Unity game engine, and illustrated in Photoshop. Unity is a popular 3D game engine used widely in developing videogames, as well as augmented reality and virtual reality content. Flight School did not say how much Umphrey's McGee's spent on developing the AR concert poster. The company documented the AR poster in a video online.
