SecureNet Acquired By Worldpay

Austin-based SecureNet, a provider of a system which links point of sale, mobile, and e-commerce payment processing and other functions for multi-channel retailers, has been acquired by payment technology firm WorldPay. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. SecureNet was owned by private equity firm Sterling Partners. According to the companies, SecureNet will maintain its commitment to the growing Austin technology community. SecureNet was advised by William Blair, Sterling Partners and Katten Munchin Rosenman LLP in the deal. Worldpay was represented by Hunton & Williams LLP.
