Texas Sees $169.4M In Venture Deals For Quarter

PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association are reporting today that Texas saw $169.4M in venture capital deals for the quarter, in 30 investments. PwC and NVCA, which report venture investing numbers ever quarter, also reported that there was $5.7B invested in the quarter nationally in 802 deals, the highest level of investment since 2001 nationally. For the full year, there was $25.5B in investments in 3,416 venture capital deals, up 10 percent year to year in deal volume and 12 percent in dollar value.
