Silicon Labs Gets Win At TomTom
Semiconductor manufacturer Silicon Laboratories reported Monday that consumer navigation equipment provider TomTom NV, is integrating Silicon Labs' FM transmitters into some of its portable navigation devices. Silicon Labs said its Si4710 FM transmitters enable TomTom's GO 520 and GO 720 to transmit music and navigation information through car stereo speakers. TomTom is based in Amsterdam and has offices throughout Europe, North America and Asia. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Silicon Laboratories produces analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits.
