Entorian Expands Board
Austin, Texas-based Entorian Technologies Inc., a provider of semiconductor-packaging and chip-stacking products, reported Tuesday that it has appointed Krishna Srinivasan to its board of directors, effective immediately. Srinivasan's appointment is essentially a transfer—he had served on Augmentix Corp.'s board since its inception. Entorian announced Monday that it has agreed to acquire the laptop and server manufacturer for some $34.2 million in cash and convertible notes. Srinivasan is currently a partner with Austin Ventures, where he focuses on systems, semiconductors and clean-tech investments. Before joining Austin Ventures in 2000, he enjoyed stints with McKinsey & Co., Motorola and International Sematech.
