Texas Instruments Buys CICLON Semiconductor
Dallas-based Texas Instruments reported Wednesday that it has acquired CICLON Semiconductor Device Corporation, a developer of high frequency power management semiconductors. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. CICLON is based in Bethlehem, PA. According to TI, the move will help it improve energy efficiency in its high power computing and server systems. CICLON's technology is based on high power MOSFETs.
