Texas Instruments Completes National Semiconductor Buy

Texas Instruments said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of National Semiconductor. The acquisition--which is worth $6.5 billion in cash--adds more than 5,000 employees to TI. The two initially announced the acquisition in April, but have been working through regulatory reviews and approvals. TI said the buy gives it ability to deliver more products, expertise, and support to its customers.
