Silicon Laboratories Wins Mitsumi

Austin-based Silicon Laboratories reported late Wednesday that the firm has been selected by Mitsumi as part of a set top box win. The firm said its Si2170 TV tuner will be included in Mitsumi's idTV and set top box modules. Financial impact of the design win was not announced. Silicon Labs said its TV tuner chip was selected due to performance, system cost, and roadmap.
