eRecyclingCorps Aims At Cell Phone Recycling
Dallas-based eRecyclingCorps, a new company headed by the previous CEO of RadioShack and former President and COO of Sprint, said today that it has launched a new company, focused on buying back old cell phone handsets and reselling or recyling them. The firm said it has already inked a deal with Sprint to deploy its systems in 1,100 company-owned Sprint stores, as well as through its 1,400 Sprint PReferred Dealers. eRecyclingCorps was co-founded by David Edmondson, previously CEO of RadioShack and Ron LeMay, former President and COO of Sprint. The firm said it is venture backed, however, did not disclosed backers in the firm.
