eRecyclingCorps Lands $35M
Irving-based eRecyclingCorps said this morning that it has raised $35M in a funding round, to go towards its wireless recycling and trade-in programs. The firm said the round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. eRecyclingCorp was co-founded by David Edmondson, the former CEO of RadioShack, and Ron LeMay, the former CEO of Sprint PCS. The company's solution revolves around a web-based software platform which connects into point of sale (POS) systems, to handle issuing "instant" in-score credit on wireless devices. eRecyclingCorps' other investors are OpenAir Equity Partners and SJF Ventures.
