Apple In Major New Austin Campus Expansion
Tech powerhouse Apple Computer is planning to invest $304M, and create up to 3,600 new jobs in Austin, with a new campus in the city, according to Gov. Rick Perry. According to the Goernor's office, the new campus will more than double the size of Apple's workforce in the state over the next decade. The state is offering up $21M over the next ten years through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) to attract Apple to expand. The Governor said Apple will expand customer support, sales and accounting functions at the expanded Austin campus.
