Gazzang Wins Electronic Health Records Company
Austin-based Gazzang is providing its database encryption and key management software tools to a developer of electronic health information and records software, ePatientFinder. According to Gazaang, ePatientFinder is using its tools to protect health information and ensure HIPAA compliance for the company. Size of the win was not announced. ePatientFinder uses MongoDB, an open source database tool, to store data on patient and treatments. Gazzang is venture backed by Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures, and is led by Larry Warnock.
