Apple Starts Producing Macs In Austin

Apple confirmed Wednesday that it has begun manufacturing its latest Mac computer, the Mac Pro, in Austin. According to a tweet from Apple CEO Tim Cook, it has begun manufacturing the Mac Pro in Austin, as the company starts accepting orders for the new device today. Apple had been rumored to be producing the new Macs at Flextronics Americas in Austin, after Flextroncis said it planned to add over 800 jobs to manufacture a "next generation desktop computer" at the location in October.
