Silicon Labs Buys Touchstone Semiconductor
Austin-based analog and mixed signal integrated circuits manufacturer Silicon Labs said Monday afternoon that it has acquired Touchstone Semiconductor, a developer of early-stage, power management ICs. The deal was worth $1.5M, and was structured as an asset purchase. Silicon Labs said the deal will help complement its portfolio of microcontrollers, wireless products, and sensors for the "Internet of Things" market, and that it will continue to expand the product line.
