Silicon Labs Buys Micrium
Austin-based Silicon Labs announced this morning that it has acquired Micrium, a developer of real time operating system software for the Internet-of-Things market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Micrium was based in Weston, Florida, and had been founded in 1999. Silicon Labs said that Jean J. Labrosse, Founder, CEO and President of Micrium, joins the Silicon Labs management team as part of the acquisition, and that it will continue to make Micrium's RTOS and software tools available to silicon partners.
