Kibo Acquires Certona

Dallas-based Kibo, a developer of e-commerce software, said on Tuesday that it has acquired Certona, a developer of personalization software. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to the two, the deal will help bring Kobo's cloud commerce platform with Certona's personalization platform. The companies said that Certona uses machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to power its omnichannel personalization tool; Certona has more than 500 brands and retailers using its product, according to the companies.
