Silicon Labs Ships IC
Austin, Texas-based Silicon Laboratories, a provider of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, said today that it has announced a new line of low-loss, high-accuracy ac current sensors. The devices are used by electronics designers in developing electronic lighting, power supplies, and other applications. According to Silicon Laboratories the new Si8500 family of applications are ideal for use in ac-dc switching power supplies, isolated dc-dc power supplies, motor control, and for electronic ballasts for lighting. The new components are available for sampling now. Silicon Laboratories develops mixed signal semiconductors used for the communications, computing, industrial, and automotive industries for designing electronic devices.
